Has anyone heard about it or looked into it?

I stumbled upon Grantcoin the other day while searching for a cryptocurrency supporting basic income. It's already functioning (with two basic income payouts this year so far).  But it was hard to find, could someone here take a look at it, and see if it's something worth adding to the Group Currency page?

    Hi EducingDemon,

Thanks for submitting Grantcoin! Foundation staff are currently evaluating it and will post a summary judgement here once our investigation is completed.

    Cheers,

Hi EducingDemon, my apologies, our forums are acting up. We need to replace them entirely (they're basically broken, preventing me from administering them randomly, and worse, they're allowing a lot of spam through).

If this post goes through, just know that we've basically completed our investigation of Grantcoin but we need to write it up. It looks like a nice effort, our primary concern is with its Sybil prevention mechanism. More as soon as we replace these forums with something decent and maintained.

No worries, that sounds pretty bad. I am glad to hear that you were able to complete the investigation though, and I'm thoroughly excited to see what you've found. With Grantcoin increasingly automating registration, the Sybil issues are even more important now, then they were originally.

I registered for the Grant coin UBI project on 10th Feb 2017.Since then I am getting 1024 GRT units daily. As I understand the release of the grants is quarterly,so this daily supply confuses me.Is it OK or some thing is wrong?

    thanks
